Detail is again very good, and this has been assembled a bit better than the TOS Enterprise was. The saucer section & nacelles are PVC, while the secondary hull & stand are ABS. The Enterprise D is almost twice as big as the Micro Machines or Attack Wing miniatures. Again, the detailing is quite impressive at this size. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that these figures were designed by different teams & didn't interact much.īorg, Cardassian, Q, Romulan, and Klingon. Troi, Picard, Crusher, and LaForge are mostly in scale with each other (though I suspect Geordi may have been hitting the Brain & Nerve Tonic a bit hard,) while Worf, Riker & Data have a noticeably slimmer aesthetic going on. Aside from the aforementioned stand, the nacelles aren't properly aligned, most likely due to the pylons not being glued in symmetrically. Again, the sculpt is good but in this case the assembly has a few issues. You can see the stress mark at the top of the stand where I had to bend it because it came with the ship pointing downward & it looked odd. The secondary hull & nacelles are PVC, while the primary hull, pylons & stand are ABS. It's actually a darker shade of grey than in my pictures. BTW, Gorn is holding a dagger behind the Andorian's back, because he knows how you treat those sneaky bastards. As you can see, the clothing texture is really impressive on such a small scale, and that's part of why Nancy & the Romulan are my favorites in this set. Scale issues aren't as prevalent here, but I'm pretty sure the Talosian should be smaller.
Next, the OG Aliens: Nancy the Salt Vampire, Romulan, Talosian, Klingon, Andorian, and Gorn. Also also, I don't know what the hell that line is that runs across McCoy's shirt. Also, Uhura & Sulu really are that much bigger compared to the rest, it's not a camera perspective issue. This photo was taken after I'd given them a good soapy scrubbing in hot water and also used a hair dryer on them to make sure they're in their intended poses. Kirk is sculpted in a very odd pose, almost as if he's just firing blindly to his right. Detail is very good for 2" figures, but some of the facial likeness has been lost in the manufacturing process.
